What are articles and how are they different from regular posts
Unlike regular short posts, articles are full-length texts with a title, cover, categories, and advanced formatting (headings, paragraphs, quotes, tables, images, etc). Articles are created via the "New Article" option when writing a post.
Here’s how an article differs from a post:
- Article editor lets you use more formatting styles: headings, lists, bold/italic, quotes, insert photos and videos.
- You can add a cover image — which is visible in the feed and when viewing.
- You can choose a category (such as "Art," "History," "Travel") — this helps readers find your article in the catalog.
- Publication is possible in your timeline, communities, clubs or events.
- Drafts are available — you can save an unfinished article to return to it later.
Articles are ideal for large texts, blogs, analysis, stories, interviews, or reviews. If you want to express a thought in a single paragraph — it’s better to create a regular post. For more extensive texts with rich formatting — use the "New Article" function.
