There are several ways to send a friend request to a user.

Via their profile:

1. Go to the user’s profile — by clicking their name or avatar in the feed, comments, search, or chat.
2. At the top, click “Add as Friend”.
3. After sending the request, the button will change to “Sent”.

⚠️ Note: You can click this again to cancel the request before it’s confirmed.

Via search:

1. In the search field (top of the screen), start typing the user’s name or nickname.
2. In quick results you’ll see users with “Add” buttons — click to send a request.
3. If you don’t see the user, press Enter or “View all results”.
4. On the search results page, go to the “Users” tab and send the request from there.

Via the “People” section:

1. Open the main menu (☰ — top left corner).
2. In the “More” section, click “People”.
3. View recommended users and click “Add” by those you want to friend.

⚠️ Note: After sending, you can view the status in “Sent Requests” in the “People” section. You can also cancel the request with one click.
If the user does not confirm, you will remain in their readers and can see their public posts.
