How to create an event on Fankolo

Events on Fankolo are a special type of page with extended functionality: you can set a date, place, description, links to tickets, and organizer. Events can be public or private.

Below is how to create an event on desktop and mobile.


How to create an event on desktop:

  1. Click the "+" button in the top right corner.
  2. Select "Create Event".
  3. In the window, fill in all required fields:
    • Event name
    • Date and start/end time
    • Privacy (public or private)
    • Category
    • Country
    • Event info
  4. If needed, you can:
    • Enable "Another organizer" and specify their name and link.
    • Add a location
    • Add a link to tickets
    • Add price information
  5. Click "Create" — the event will be published.

How to create an event on mobile:

  1. Open the main menu ( — top left corner).
  2. Go to My Events.
  3. Click "Create Event".
  4. Fill in all required fields (same as desktop).
  5. Click "Create" to publish the event.

⚠️ Note: The above methods let you create an event from your profile. To create an event from a community you manage, see the instructions below.


How to create an event from a managed community:

  1. Go to the community page from which you want to create the event.
  2. Click the "Events" tab under the community cover.
  3. Click "Create Event" in the top right corner of the events block.
  4. In the window, fill in all required form fields.
  5. Click "Create" — the event will be published on behalf of your community and will appear in the "Events" tab on the community page.

What the fields in the creation form mean:

1. Event name
This is the main title shown in the event list and on the event page.
Example: Ukrainian Poetry Night, Business Breakfast, Concert by "Zhadan i Sobaky".

2. Date and time
Set the start and end date/time.

3. Privacy

  • Public event — visible to all users. Anyone can join.
  • Private event — does not appear in recommendations. Only invited users or admins can join.

⚠️ Note: Private events can only be created from your main profile. Events created from a community are always public.

4. Category
Select the event topic so users can find it easily.
Examples: Music, Business, Art, Theatre, Party, Health

5. Country
The country where the event is held or to which it is tied.

6. Info
Describe the event details: what, who is performing, what to expect.
Tip: 1–2 short paragraphs.

7. Another organizer (optional)
If you’re creating an event to announce something for someone else, specify their name and link. Otherwise, the event will be published from your profile or community.

⚠️ Note: The organizer’s name/link will be shown in the event info, but posts and comments are always from the profile/community that created the event.

8. Location (optional)
Physical address or location.

9. Ticket link (optional)
URL for buying or reserving tickets.

10. Price info (optional)
You can add price, discounts, or entry conditions.


After creating, the event appears in the "Events Overview" section. Public events are searchable and visible to others. Private events do not appear in search or recommendations except for invited users. Posts and participants in a private event are only visible to other participants and invitees. After publishing, you can edit the event, change the cover, add media, reply to comments, and chat with event participants.
